Cheshire launches fixed rate mini cash ISA
Cheshire Building Society is offering savers a new fixed rate mini cash ISA - the plan pitched at investors looking to take advantage of this year's tax-free savings allowance before the end of the tax year on April 5th. The 12 Month Fixed Rate Mini Cash ISA offers a rate of 6.00 % gross/AER, which is paid on maturity.
Savers can invest a minimum of £1,000, up to a maximum of £3,000 if the account is opened on or before April 5th. And up to a maximum amount of £3,600 if opened on or after April 6th, to reflect the new Government ISA allowances for the 2008/9 tax year.
No further additions or withdrawals are permitted during the 12 month period.
